Jennae Michelle Foundation

Community & support

A place to connect.
Room to be yourself.

The Foundation’s community vision centers on access to issue-specific and trauma-focused peer connection. Potential collaboration with Nirva Life would explore social media groups and education in Nervous System Intelligence in service of that purpose.

The possibility of connection

A moment of connection.
Room to be yourself.

The community vision we support recognizes the value of shared experience while respecting individual perspectives and each person’s choice about how to participate.

A place for recognition

Some things are easier to say when you do not have to explain everything first.

Hearing another person describe an experience you thought was yours alone can bring a sense of recognition. Shared understanding can offer a starting point for conversation, easing the pressure to explain every circumstance before feeling heard.

We seek to create spaces where that recognition supports thoughtful questions, an exchange of perspectives, and exploration of the influences shaping a response. Belonging should allow people to acknowledge uncertainty and difficulty as openly as strength.

The community we help make possible

Shared experiences.
Individual lives.

The proposed network would offer focused support groups organized around relevant experiences, with room for the different circumstances and perspectives each person brings.

Experiences that connect us

A conversation with context.

Proposed group themes include grief and loss, abuse and domestic violence, family estrangement, and life after trauma. Each community would have a clear focus so people can find conversations relevant to what they are living through.

Social media support groups

Connection within reach.

Social media can make ongoing conversation accessible across distance and accommodate different schedules and levels of participation. The Foundation seeks to support the development of moderated spaces within Nirva Life for peer connection, shared experience, and educational resources.

Nervous System Intelligence

Understanding what shaped a response.

NSI would provide a shared starting point for exploring the influences shaping perception, interpretation, and response, including past experience, and the possibility of choosing responses aligned with who we want to be. Its proposed concepts invite investigation and personal reflection; they do not establish an explanation of another person’s life.

Agency & belonging

Your story remains yours.

Listening matters as much as speaking. Participation should leave room for people to read, reflect, contribute, or step away without pressure to disclose trauma or accept someone else’s explanation of their life.

Opportunities to help others

There is room for what you have to offer.

The community vision we support includes opportunities to share knowledge, offer encouragement, contribute practical skills, participate in creative work, and help shape supportive spaces. People may choose to receive support, contribute, or do both at different times in their lives.

Contribution is voluntary. No one needs to disclose their story, take on another person’s needs, or give something back to deserve support. We welcome conversations about peer participation, volunteering, and community partnerships as these opportunities develop.

Care in the way we connect

Belonging needs boundaries.

Group development includes clear moderation, respectful participation, and rules against harassment, unsolicited diagnosis, and sharing another person’s story outside the group. Social platforms cannot guarantee confidentiality, even in private groups; participants should choose what they share with that in mind.

These groups are intended for peer support and education. They are not clinical treatment or emergency services. Community participation will not automatically enroll anyone in research or make their posts available as research data.

Help build a place people can return to.

The Foundation seeks to help this community approach take shape within Nirva Life. Tell us which experiences need a dedicated space, or introduce your interest in moderation, community partnership, or supporting the work.
